Pablo Madriaza / Professor
Pablo Madriaza est professeur en travail social à l'Université du Québec en Outaouais. Il détient un diplôme en psychologie et un doctorat en sociologie. Il s'intéresse à l'étude de la violence et des conflits sociaux. La dernière période de sa carrière a été consacrée à plusieurs études sur la prévention de l'extrémisme violent et des actes motivés par la haine, notamment du point de vue des pratiques d'intervention et de l'évaluation des programmes.

David Morin / Co-holder UNESCO-PREV Chair
David Morin is a tenured professor in the School of Applied Politics in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the Université de Sherbrooke. His areas of expertise and professional experience include national and international security issues, particularly violent extremism, radicalization, disinformation and conspiracy. He is a co-holder of the UNESCO Chair in the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Extremism (UNESCO-PREV Chair).

Sylvain Bédard / Project Coordinator
With a multidisciplinary background and practical experience in communication and political strategy, Sylvain Bédard is the scientific coordinator of the UNESCO-PREV Chair. He works mainly on issues related to conspiracy, disinformation and democratic resilience. D. candidate in the Ethics and Applied Politics track of the Doctorate in Practical Philosophy at the Université de Sherbrooke, his project focuses on the resilience of informal online deliberation in the face of hateful and misleading discourse in the context of the climate change debate.

Sabrina Paillé / Research professional
Sabrina Paillé works as a research professional on the PREV-IMPACT Canada project. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sociology from the Université du Québec à Montréal and pursued her doctoral studies in sociology at York University. In her research, she has shown a particular interest in the sociology of nationalism, reactions to immigration and gender issues, as well as radical right-wing and populist movements in Germany and Europe. Sabrina has several years of experience as a teaching assistant and research assistant. She has been part of the training team at the RPC-PREV since 2021.
